 Body Massage Course - Online Theory plus Practical Training 

 

Massage can help clients to de-stress, improve circulation, and reduce pain. Providing a massage treatment can be both beneficial to the client and the therapist and can lead to an incredibly rewarding career. The GTi Body Massage course covers massage techniques, a full body massage routine and the preparation you need for the treatment.

 

The GTi Body Massage course includes the GTi Professional Standards course. 

 

All modules and examinations are completed online with full online support available followed by a practical training day and assessment here at the school. On completion of the course, successful students will receive a GTi certificate in Body Massage. The GTi Body Massage Award is accredited by the Guild of Beauty Therapists, the UK’s leading professional beauty trade body.

Once you have booked your training course and paid the enrolment and theory fee of £25, you will be able complete the theory modules for the course right away. Once you have completed the theory modules, a practical session code will be displayed on the final module which you can pass on to the training school. Upon completion of the course you will be able to obtain insurance from the Guild with a £25 discount if you upgrade within 3 months of enrolling.

Foot Reflexology- OnlineTheory Course plus Practical training 

Reflexology is a wonderful gentle , non invasive therapy which helps the body to balance and heal itself. It is carried out by applying gentle pressure of reflex points in the foot which correspond to areas and systems of the body as well as the clients emotional health which in turn brings an overall feeling of well-being and relaxation.

This course will teach you the skills that you need to know in order to carry out a professional reflexology treatment. The theory is completed online at home in your own time before a practical training session is taken here at the school. This means that GTi gives you flexible learning designed to fit in around your lifestyle. Full tutorial support is available throughout your learning experience.

The GTi Foot Reflexology course covers all the necessary anatomy and physiology which you will need to know in order to perform a reflexology treatment and so you do not need to hold a separate anatomy and physiology qualification. The GTi Foot Reflexology course includes the GTi Professional Standards course.

Indian Head Massage Course -Online Theory plus Practical training

This course requires both theory and practical training. You will study the theory online, but you will be required to attend an accredited training centre for the practical training.

This course covers the technique for upper back, shoulder, upper arm, neck, scalp and face massage. It also includes the theory behind Indian Head Massage such as the history of the treatment, principles of ayurveda, marma points and chakras. The course includes resources with clear diagrams and images. Reception, consultation and aftercare guidance is covered as well as contra-indications to treatment. Photographs and videos ensure this course is both engaging and informative to give you the confidence to perform the Indian Head Massage.

 You will have the opportunity to practice the routine on friends and family before you attend the practical and assessment here at the school at a time to suit you.. On completion of the course, successful students will receive a GTi Indian Head Massage certificate which is acceptable for insurance purposes with The Guild of Beauty Therapists.

Ear Candling- OnlineTheory plus Practical training 

Ear Candles are a popular treatment for those with sinus problems, glue ear and wax. The candles work using the process of convection. The burning of the candle helps to draw softer waxes and toxins from the ear. Some of these are then oxidised or turned into vapours and burnt. The warm air from the burning candle passes into the ear canal before being gently drawn back up to the top of the candle in a chimney effect. The warm air containing the herbal extract vapours from the candle helps to soothe and invigorate the ear.

The GTi Ear Candling course covers how to give a full ear candle treatment and covers the history, technique and aftercare of the treatment.

The course also covers reception and consultation, and contra-indications to treatment. It also includes detailed technique modules which show you how to carry out an ear candle treatment.

This two day course teaches you the history and principles of Reiki. It also covers the 7 main Chakras, clearing energy, what Reiki can be used for and the hand positions for treating others and yourself in a full Reiki treatment.  Students will receive an attunement to Reiki Level 1.  On completion of this course students will be qualified to treat family and friends. Students can then progress to Reiki 2 if they wish following this course.

Massage during pregnancy is a wonderful experience for both mum and baby. As a therapist working with a pregnant woman, it is an amazing privilege to be able to do this at such an important time in the life of the mum-to-be. Her body is going through so many changes, both physically and emotionally. 

Although pregnancy is a wonderful experience for women, there can be times when they need a bit of extra support as their body is going through such a significant change, especially as the pregnancy progresses. 

It is important that the mother feels relaxed leading up to the birth, and receiving a massage on a regular basis is known to reduce stress levels which, in turn, helps her relax during the first stages of labour.

 Thai Foot Massage Accredited Course- 1 day course 

Thai Foot Massage is the most popular treatment practised all over Thailand due to the health benefits from it.

During a Thai Foot& Arm Massage treatment, the feet and lower legs are stretched, massaged and pressure is applied to reflex points on the feet with the therapist using hands, thumbs, fingers, knuckles and a Thai wooden acupressure stick. By doing this, it opens the “energy lines” or Sen lines as they are called in Thailand.

It is believed that the reflex points in the feet are related to the organs and areas of the body. By applying pressure, these areas can be stimulated to improve better health and wellbeing
