Hot Stone Massage- Online Theory and Practical Training

Hot stone massage uses smooth, heated stones in order to massage and relax the body. This massage is popular with clients it’s known to be deeply relaxing.

This course will teach you the essential skills that you need to know to offer a professional Hot Stone Massage and includes a practical training session and assessment.

This GTi Hot Stone Massage course follows the National Occupational Standards and covers reception, consultation and ventilation. It also covers contra-indications and contra-actions, preparing for treatment, massage techniques and a full hot stone massage routine.  This course also includes the GTi Professional Standards course.

The GTi Hot Stone Massage Award is accredited by the Guild of Beauty Therapists, the UK’s leading professional beauty trade body.  

The modules and examinations are completed online with full online support available. You will have the opportunity to practice the routine on friends and family before attending a practical training day and assessment at a time to suit you. On completion of the course, successful students will receive a GTi certificate which is acceptable for insurance purposes with The Guild of Beauty Therapists.

Once you have booked your training course and paid the enrolment and theory fee of £25, you will be able complete the theory modules for the course right away. This fee includes your student membership for 3 months. The  Guild consider this sufficient time for student's to complete the online work, however, if you have not completed the modules within this timeframe, you will be required to pay them £25 to extend for another 3 months or upgrade to full membership. Upon completion of the course you will be able to obtain membership and insurance with the Guild. 

GTi Student Membership allows you access to the GTi training courses you are enrolled for up to 3 months and includes a number of other online Guild services. It does not include insurance. Once you have completed your GTi training course you can save £10 when you upgrade to Full Guild membership with insurance.
